He’s Responsible
This is the man that I met in my high school senior year, and changed everything for me. For the better I might add. Yes he’s responsible for our six rascal children.
He’s very talented in music and teaching them in it, thank God all my children got that bloodline in them. The David bloodline of worshipers. They have also received that from my side of the family, talented musicians like their Grandpa and uncle Chad, and me a singer, my older brother plays a little here and there and my mother she teaches worship. We are all Worshipers. Joseph did not start out becoming the man of my dreams, but it was a process. And surely I was not the women of his dreams too, but we are today. We were just attracted to one another, young kids in love or so we thought. We almost called it quits, if it wasn’t for God stepping in bringing us to re-court each other, and now it awesome. Six kids and 18 years later we are more in love with God and each other then ever before. Can’t wait for the next 20 and more.
He was a surfer, and what my Dad would call a bum. But hey he did have a job, but he was a party man, and played secular music (island style of course). I knew how to hook him in. I asked him to come to church and play with my dad for the choir. He did, and I even have pictures of him today playing in church stoned. Yes even today he would admit it, but thank God for his grace on us all. We laugh about it today, cause my Dad and Mom would just continue to welcome him until. Yes until they knew he was my special interest, he got me pregnant.
I knew it wasn’t going to be easy to tell them so one night after church choir practice we sat my parents down to give the news. My Dad looked so upset, I thought he was going to really kill Joseph. My Dad did not say a word, all he did was stand up and walked out of the church. Mom slammed the pew, and yelled a couple lines of stuff, and followed my Dad out the door. I was scared to drive home, I was seventeen, in the middle of my Senior year and had a full paid scholarship and plans changed fast. Mom had me call my scholarship department from the pageant I had won, and call the “Up with People” representative to forfeit my spot to the next student. I grew up fast, and it was scary but I did it.
We never believed in abortion, and that never came up, (between us and my Dad & Mom) we just moved a head with plans to prepare for the baby. We went through alot with my parents but everything turned out great after years of healing and restoring. (I cover that in my continue story “Man of my dreams”) But to show you we pressed through it and here is my eldest son today, watch and enjoy.
After many years, My Dad was so proud of this man, my husband, and never stopped talking about him. It didn’t start out that way,(another story) but today, my Dad trusted Joseph in all that he did concerning us and music, oh how my Dad would brag about this man my Husband. He’s a hard worker and provider, and he has a heart to love our children and tries to raise our children in the ways of the Lord, even with his flaws. An honest man and very loving. With all that being said, the most proud thing that attracts me to him today is his Love for the Lord Jesus Christ. ”Wow” I know you women will agree, nothing is more attracting then that. A man that has Jesus’ heart and Love him.
So hope you tune into the continue story of how it all started in “The man of my dreams” see you there.
